Last Sunday the weather forecast predicted 65 degree weather for the Omaha area. I decided to get a tee time at one of my favorite golf courses, Quarry Oaks. Quarry Oaks is listed as number 72 on the Golf Digest's best 100 public golf courses in the United States. I love Quarry Oaks because you will find turkey, deer, canadian geese and squirrels wandering the course. When you play there you really feel connected to nature. This course plays very long. Some of the par four holes felt like they should be par fives. The greens are very challenging. My wife Peg and I played eighteen holes without seeing any other golfers on the course. It was really fun playing without having to worry about the groups behind us. There was no wind and sunny skies. It was perfect. The best part was spending quality time with my wife on a absolutely beautiful golf course.
